Seiko Presage SRPB71J Black Dial Japan

Seiko Presage Automatic Japan Made SRPB71J is an auspicious timepiece. This is what the Seiko Manufacturer promises us with its new Presage collection. Since its very humble beginnings in the heart of Japan, the Japanese manufacturer has not stopped changing the style of its collections intended for the modern man.

SEIKO PRESAGE SRPB71J1,  what offers a charm to this watch is the black dial, neither too light nor too dark, perfectly matching the silver steel strap. The hue of this black is however nuanced, by the light that receives the dial. This one will tend towards the color dark grey when it is exposed in full sun, and will turn into black in the dark.

This timepiece has a date complication, but not at the usual place. Indeed, it’s lost in the middle of the fourth and fifth hours, avoiding the trap of the overloaded dial.

Detail that is also important: the inscription Made in Japan is at the bottom left of the watch, near the sixth index. It is indeed good to know that all watches of the Japanese House are not manufactured in the land of the Rising Sun, but those who can boast, including the SRPB71J1, have the privilege of wearing this inscription …

On the back of the watch, the movement is exposed every second, revealing oscillations of the balance wheel. This mechanical theater is fully visible thanks to the transparent caseback, specially designed in mineral glass by Seiko.
