The reference SPB071J has the Seiko 6R15 (automatic) movement which has a power reserve of 50 hours. This movement ticks at 21,600vph. The watch has a screw-down crown and caseback, to ensure the 200 meters of water resistance.

The familiar blue and red theme of the PADI diver’s watches is seen on this new timepiece as well. The SPB071 features a unidirectional blue anodized aluminum bezel with a black insert. The dial has a wave pattern and its color goes from a bright blue at the top to deep black at the bottom. The minutes hand is in red and like all of Seiko’s divers, the dial sees generous use of Seiko’s Lumibrite luminescence.
