The STI MForce is Orient’s most serious dive watch option, boasting a more sophisticated in house movement than the one found in their very popular Mako and Ray models, as well as ISO 6425 divers watch certification, for what it’s worth. The STI MForce is designed to be Orient’s version of the diver’s dive watch.
The dial has a gorgeous, stylish deep blue colour with the STI logo, a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and a date at 4. While this watch has a big diameter (49.1mm) this watch is very easy and comfortable on the wrist. The lugs of this watch are relatively short, which means it’s a good fit, even for average wrists. The Orient SEL07003D STI Limited Edition M-Force is a sporty diving watch. M-Force watches are renown for the ISO diving standards (ISO 6425, 764 and 1413), the high quality in-house automatic movements and excellent value for money. Under the hood is Orient’s 40N5A movement, which hacks and can hand wind.
But as the name, also suggests, the STI MFORCE features a movement with some non-standard functions, at least when compared to Orient’s other movements, Self-winding movement with Hand winding mechanism. As mentioned, the STI MForce is a step up in the dive department for Orient, in both design and function. One of the first things you’ll notice about the STI MFORCE is that it is, appropriately so, very large.
Orient has been a partner of the STI race department of Subaru for many years now. The SEL07003D is the newest watch to celebrate this collaboration. Every STI watch is limited and this one is no different. Just 1500 pieces are released worldwide.
