The Orient Bambino SAC00004B0 is the black stick-index dress watch in the older export Bambino line. It is built for a shirt cuff and a leather strap, not for the pool. The dial is black, the indexes and hands are silver, and a date window sits at 3 o’clock. This page is currently out of stock. The notes below describe this reference, not a different colourway.
What the dial actually is
An old product scrape on this page said the dial was white and the strap was silver. The listing photos do not show that. The front view is a black dial with applied silver stick indexes, silver hands, and the words Orient Automatic under the logo. Water Resist is written in script above 6. There is no luminous paint on the hands or indexes, so this is a poor choice if you need to read the time in a dark room. The minute and seconds hands are shaped to follow the curve of the dial, which is part of the classic Bambino look.
The strap in both photos is black leather with a crocodile emboss, a light lining marked genuine leather, and a pin buckle stamped Orient. It is not a deployment clasp. Lug width is 21 mm, so a replacement strap in that width will fit. ANA’s sheet for this reference lists calf leather and a pin buckle, which matches the photos.

The small line printed at the bottom of the dial is a movement marking. It is not the calibre name. The calibre for this reference is F6724. That is the same hand-wind and hacking automatic used in the other 40.5 mm stick-index Bambinos, and it matches the hacking, date, and 40-hour block on the ANA sheet for SAC00004B0.
If you want a smaller current Bambino that is easier to find in stock, the white Orient Bambino RA-AC0M03S30B is a different watch: 38.4 mm, not this 40.5 mm black dial. For the wider collection, start with the Orient Bambino buying guide or the Orient classic watches category.
Where this one was made
Orient is a Japanese brand. The solid case back in these listing photos is marked Made in Japan. This is an earlier export reference, not a current-production Bambino. A small line on the dial is not used here as a separate origin claim.
Questions buyers ask
What movement does the Orient Bambino SAC00004B0 use?
Orient calibre F6724. It is an automatic with hand-winding and a hacking seconds hand, 22 jewels, and about 40 hours of reserve when fully wound. ANA lists the static accuracy for this model as +25 to −15 seconds a day.
What size is the SAC00004B0?
About 40.5 mm across, 11.8 mm thick, and 21 mm between the lugs. ANA lists the case as 45 × 40.5 mm, which is lug-to-lug by width. It wears larger than a 38 mm dress watch. If your usual size is under 38 mm, try one on before you commit.
Is the crystal sapphire?
No. It is a domed mineral crystal. It gives the soft edge the Bambino is known for, and it will scratch more easily than sapphire. There is no anti-reflective coating to count on.
Is the SAC00004B0 made in Japan?
The case back photographed for this listing is marked Made in Japan. That is the stamp on this example. It is not a current Thailand-production Bambino, and a dial line alone is not how we describe origin.
Does the black dial have lume?
No. The silver hands and stick indexes are not luminous. In low light the black dial is harder to read than a white one. That is a design choice, not a fault in the movement.
Can I swim with the SAC00004B0?
No. Water resistance is 30 m, which covers rain and washing your hands. It is not a swim watch, and the crown is a pull-out crown rather than a screw-down diver crown.
