The Orient Bambino RA-AK0808S is the white day-and-night watch from Orient’s 75th anniversary set, launched in January 2025 and limited to 5,500 pieces. It is a dress automatic for someone who wants the Bambino case with a day disc, a date, and a sun-and-moon window, not a plain three-hand dial.
The dial in the listing photos is white. Rose-gold Roman numerals sit at 12, 3, 6 and 9, with rose-gold sticks on the other hours. The hour and minute hands are blue. A day disc sits near 10, the date window is at 3, and a sun-and-moon disc sits at 6. That disc shows day and night. It is not an astronomical moonphase, and there is no power-reserve hand.
Orient fits a beige leather strap, shown in the front photos as a suede-like strap with pale stitching, on a pin buckle. A spare dark brown leather strap, also on a pin buckle, is part of the reference. Orient lists easy strap exchange. One case-back frame shows the brown strap fitted, with a light suede lining. The front frames show the beige strap on the watch.

Calibre F6B24 is Orient’s automatic with hand-winding and a hacking seconds hand. Orient rates it at 22 jewels, +25 to −15 seconds a day, and a power reserve of over 40 hours. The case is stainless steel: 41.5 mm wide, 14.2 mm thick, 47.0 mm lug-to-lug, 21 mm between the lugs. Orient lists the weight at 76 g and a wrist range of about 150 to 190 mm.
The crystal is the point the old listing got wrong. Orient’s sheet calls the front glass box crystal, and Orient’s UK page for this reference calls it mineral glass. It is a domed mineral crystal, not sapphire, and not a double anti-reflective sapphire. The case back is an exhibition window. Water resistance is 30 metres, or 3 bar. That covers rain and handwashing. It is not a swim watch.
The case-back photo is engraved Limited Edition and 0000/5500, with a 75th anniversary script on the rotor, and it is marked Made in Thailand. Treat 0000/5500 as a catalogue sample, not the serial of the watch we would send. Orient’s UK page also mentions a 75th anniversary box. That box is not in these photos, so this page does not claim the picture shows it.

Is the RA-AK0808S sapphire?
No. Orient lists box crystal on the front and flat crystal on the case back. The UK page for this reference says mineral glass. Older shop copy that called it sapphire with a double anti-reflective coating does not match the maker’s sheet.
Is the sun and moon a real moonphase?
No. The window at 6 is a day-and-night disc, the same idea as the other F6B24 day-and-night Bambinos. It is not a moonphase that tracks the lunar month. The day of the week is the separate disc near 10, and the date is the window at 3.
What size is the case, and will it fit under a cuff?
41.5 mm wide, 14.2 mm thick, 47.0 mm lug-to-lug, 21 mm lugs. The width is a classic dress size. The day-and-night module makes it thicker than a plain Bambino, so it is less likely to disappear under a tight shirt cuff than a 12 mm dress watch.

Orient lists 5,500 pieces. The case-back photo shows 0000/5500. That is a catalogue engraving, not the serial of a watch you can choose. The same frame is marked Made in Thailand and carries a 75th anniversary script.
Which strap does it come on?
Orient’s sheet lists a beige leather strap, 21 mm, pin buckle, plus an additional leather strap and easy exchange. The front photos show a beige suede-like strap. The spare beside the watch, and the strap in the case-back photo, is dark brown leather with a pin buckle.
Is 30 metres enough for everyday wear?
Yes for rain, handwashing, and a dress watch on a desk. No for swimming, showering, or a dive. The crown is at 3. This is not a screw-down diver.
