The original Seiko Cocktail Time
The Seiko SARB065 is the watch that gave Cocktail Time its name. It was introduced in 2010 as reference 6R15-01S0, the ice-blue model in the first trio with the SARB066 and SARB068. Later Presage Cocktail Time watches kept the sunburst dial and moved to 4R calibres. This one still runs the 6R15.
It is a dress watch. The dial is a pale ice-blue sunburst, not a deep navy, with applied indices, dauphine hands, a slender blue seconds hand, and a date at 3. The dial reads Automatic and 23 jewels, and the minute track is marked Japan 6R15. The case is polished stainless steel, 40 mm across, 13.3 mm thick, and 47.5 mm lug to lug. It sits on a 20 mm black leather strap with blue stitching and a deployant clasp. The exhibition case back shows the movement. On this example the rotor bridge is marked 6R15D, with twenty-three jewels, and the case ring is engraved 5 bar, stainless steel, and made in Japan.
Wear it to the office or to dinner. Fifty metres covers rain and washing your hands. It is not a swim or dive watch, and the crown pulls out. It does not screw down.
Who it suits
Buyers who want the original Cocktail Time, not a current Presage SRPB, and who like a 40 mm dress case with a dial that shifts in the light. The 6R15 hacks and hand-winds, with about 50 hours of power reserve, so it is easier to set than an older 7S26. It is discontinued. It was not sold as a numbered limited edition. At 13.3 mm it is thicker than a slim dress watch, and a tight shirt cuff can catch the domed crystal.

Is the SARB065 the same as the newer Presage Cocktail Time?
No. The SARB065 is the 2010 original, with the 6R15. Later Presage Cocktail Time references, including the SRPB41 Blue Moon, use 4R calibres and stayed in Seiko’s catalogue after the SARB line ended. The sunburst dial idea carried over. The movement did not.
What is the water resistance of the SARB065?
5 bar, or 50 metres, with a push-pull crown. That is enough for daily wear, rain, and washing your hands. Do not swim or dive with it.
Is the Seiko Cocktail Time SARB065 a limited edition?
No. It was a regular model, first sold in Japan from 2010, and discontinued when Seiko ended the SARB line around 2017. It is harder to find than a new Presage Cocktail Time because it is no longer current, not because it had a numbered run.
