The Orient Bambino RA-AC0026R is the bordeaux dial in Orient’s current 40.5 mm Classic and Simple Style run. It is a mechanical dress watch for a shirt cuff or a knit, not a diver and not the 75th anniversary limited edition. If you want the white dial, blue hands and the 9,500-piece engraving, that is RA-AC0027S.

The bordeaux dial

Listing photos show a bordeaux dial with a silver railroad minute track. Roman numerals sit at 12, 3, 6 and 9. The other hours use simple stick indexes. The 3 is a normal III, not IIII, and the date window sits just above it. Hands are gold-tone. The logo is the modern Orient crest with Automatic in script underneath, and the dial carries a Water Resistant line. This is not the 1950s cursive logo used on the anniversary model.

The strap in those photos is brown crocodile-pattern calf, with contrast stitching and an Orient pin buckle. Orient’s own sheet lists the strap colour as brown, 21 mm, pin buckle, and no extra strap. Some image file names on this page still say RA-AC0025N. That code is the champagne sibling, which Orient lists on a grey strap. The photos here are the bordeaux dial and brown strap of RA-AC0026R.

Movement and case

Orient lists calibre F6724: automatic, hand-winding, 22 jewels, power reserve over 40 hours, and accuracy of +25 to −15 seconds a day. The UK Orient page also lists a hacking seconds stop when you set the time. There is a date at 3 and no day window. The case back is a see-through exhibition back. In the listing photos it is marked stainless steel, twenty-two jewels and Made in Thailand. There is no limited-edition engraving on this reference.

Case size on Orient’s sheet, and in the January 2025 press release for this run, is 40.5 mm wide, 46.5 mm lug to lug and 12.3 mm thick. A UK regional page has listed 12.0 mm. We have left the store size at 12.3 mm. Lug width is 21 mm. Orient lists a wrist range of about 150 to 190 mm and a weight of 58 g. The front glass is a domed box crystal, which on this model is mineral, not sapphire. The case-back crystal is flat. Water resistance is 3 bar, or 30 metres: rain and handwashing, not a pool.

Orient launched this colour in January 2025. It is a regular production colourway. The limited edition in the same case is RA-AC0027S, at 9,500 pieces.

How it wears

At 40.5 mm with a slim lug-to-lug, this is the familiar Bambino dress size rather than a sports watch. The bordeaux dial is the point of it: darker than the cream and white siblings, still formal enough for a jacket. Thirty metres means you take it off to swim. It is out of stock on this page at the moment. Check the stock button before you order, because that is the live figure.

More of the line sits in Orient classic watches. The wider buying notes are in our Orient Bambino Australia buying guide.

Orient calibre F6724. It is automatic, with hand-winding, 22 jewels, a power reserve over 40 hours, and a date at 3. Orient’s accuracy figure is +25 to −15 seconds a day. It is not a quartz watch and it is not a day-date.

What size is the RA-AC0026R case?

40.5 mm wide, 46.5 mm lug to lug, 12.3 mm thick and 21 mm between the lugs, on Orient’s sheet and the January 2025 press release. A UK page has listed 12.0 mm thickness. Weight on Orient’s sheet is 58 g.

Is the RA-AC0026R a limited edition?

What strap does the RA-AC0026R come on?

Brown leather, 21 mm, with a pin buckle. The listing photos show a crocodile-pattern calf strap and an Orient buckle. Orient does not list a second strap for this reference.

What is the water resistance of the RA-AC0026R?

30 metres, or 3 bar. That covers splashes and rain. It is not a swim watch, and the crown is a normal pull-out crown rather than a screw-down diver crown.

Where was the RA-AC0026R made?

Orient is a Japanese brand. The case back in the listing photos is marked Made in Thailand.
