Orient Mako RA-AA0824L39B Blue Sunburst Automatic Diver Watch

A$490.00

Availability: In Stock

The Orient Mako RA-AA0824L39B is a blue sunburst sports watch on the current 41.8 mm Mako / Kamasu case. It is a 2026 colourway of that case, not a new larger generation, and not the Mako GMT. Some sellers call this colourway Mako V. The measurements do not support that. Diameter, lug-to-lug, and thickness match the other RA-AA082 references: 41.8 mm, 46.8 mm, and 12.8 mm.

The dial is sunburst blue, with a triangle at 12, bar markers, and luminous hands. Day and date sit together at 3 o’clock. The seconds hand has a red tip, the familiar Mako handset. The bezel is a blue minute scale for elapsed time, not a 24-hour GMT bezel. The dial reads Orient Automatic and Water Resistant 20 bar.

Calibre F6922 is the in-house automatic used across this sports line: hand-winding, hacking seconds, 22 jewels, power reserve over 40 hours, rated +25 to −15 seconds a day. It is not the F6P22 GMT calibre. The day-date layout and the case size are the F6922 sports watch, not the GMT.

The case is stainless steel, with a sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and a screw case back. Water resistance is 200 m / 20 bar. Orient does not class this family as an ISO dive watch. The 200 m figure covers swimming and surface water. It is not a scuba certification. Lug width is 22 mm. The bracelet is stainless steel with a trifold clasp, push-button release, and a safety latch.

The pictured case back is marked Made in Thailand, sapphire crystal, stainless steel, and water resistant 20 bar. It is not engraved as a limited edition. Orient is a Japanese brand. The calibre name is F6922. Current non-Star Orient production is marked Made in Thailand, and that is what the case back in these photos shows.

Who it suits

This is the everyday sports Mako: day and date, a minute bezel, and a case that wears smaller than the 42.8 mm Mako GMT RA-BC0005L30B. It is also not the Mako 40 (RA-AC0Q), which is a different case near 40 mm. The rest of the line is under Orient divers.

Questions buyers ask

What movement does the Orient Mako RA-AA0824L39B use?

Orient calibre F6922, automatic, with hand-winding and hacking. It has 22 jewels and a power reserve of over 40 hours. It is the same calibre family as the other 41.8 mm Mako and Kamasu references, not the F6P22 used in the Mako GMT.

Is the RA-AA0824L39B a Mako or a Kamasu?

Retailers file it under both nicknames because it uses the 41.8 mm sports case shared with the Kamasu, with the Mako handset: bar markers and a red-tipped seconds hand. On this page it is listed as a Mako. The reference, not the nickname, is what to match when you order.

Is this a Mako V or a limited edition?

No. Mako V is a seller nickname, not a new case. The watch is a blue 2026 colourway of the RA-AA082 case. The pictured case back is not engraved as a limited edition. The sky-blue 75th anniversary Mako is a different reference.

What size is the RA-AA0824L39B?

41.8 mm across, 46.8 mm lug-to-lug, 12.8 mm thick, 22 mm between the lugs. That is the current Mako / Kamasu generation. It is not the 42.8 mm Mako GMT and not the older Mako 40.

What is the water resistance of the RA-AA0824L39B?

200 metres / 20 bar, with a screw-down crown and a screw case back. The dial reads Water Resistant 20 bar. The blue bezel is a minute scale, so you can time an interval. Orient does not rate the watch as an ISO dive watch. Fine for swimming. Not a scuba certification.

How is this different from the Orient Mako GMT?

This one is 41.8 mm, with day and date, a minute bezel, and calibre F6922. The Mako GMT RA-BC0005L30B is 42.8 mm, date only, a 24-hour bezel, calibre F6P22, and limited to 4,000 pieces. Same brand, different case and different job.
